Age & Time
Knowledge Base

Guides on age calculation, time milestones, and birthday facts — with the numbers that will genuinely surprise you.

What this knowledge base covers

Find My Age started as a calculator. It grew into something wider because the questions people ask when they calculate their age don't stop at a number. How many days is that, exactly? What day of the week was I born? What does being 1 billion seconds old actually feel like? When do most people reach that milestone — and why does almost nobody know when theirs is?

The articles here are organised around three broad themes. The first is time as measurement — the mathematics of age, the meaning of large time units (days, seconds, weeks), the milestones that fall at non-obvious ages. These articles are grounded in arithmetic and observable fact. The second theme is aging as biology and psychology — what actually happens to the body and mind over a lifespan, what the research says about when cognitive and physical capacities peak, how perception of time changes with age. The third theme is age as a social and cultural experience — how different generations see each other, what older people most commonly regret, how societies define "old age" differently, what the research on end-of-life happiness actually shows.

The writing tries to be honest about what we know well and what we don't. Where strong research exists — randomised trials, large longitudinal studies, replicated findings — we cite it. Where the evidence is suggestive rather than definitive, we say so. Where something is interesting but mostly anecdotal, we present it that way. The goal is to give you accurate context, not authoritative-sounding oversimplification.

A note on the age-in-numbers articles: pages like How Many Days Old Am I? and How Many Seconds Have I Been Alive? are built around live interactive calculators. The articles explain the methodology, the historical context, and the surprising aspects of these numbers — but the full experience is the page with your own birth date entered, watching your second count tick live or seeing exactly how many days you've lived. These aren't just trivia articles; they're tools designed to make abstract time feel real.

The articles are grouped below by topic. If you want a starting point, the most read are: Why Time Speeds Up With Age, What Old People Regret Most, and How Many Seconds Have I Been Alive? — each answers a question that sounds simple but turns out to be surprisingly deep.
